Crazy Backwards Day!

Today is a day for celebration. Today is Crazy Backwards Day. Not only is this a holiday, but it is a day with magical powers! Crazy Backwards Day has existed for some time now, the brain child of Shiney and myself while living in, what some would call, the Hell-hole, or Whittle Dormitory.

Whittle Dormitory had a special allure to a freshman girl. Not only was it decorated with 4-poster beds and oriental rugs in a variety of sitting rooms, but we had a fireplace in our MASSIVE room. Then we moved in...our house-mother, Miss Minnie hounded us constantly by singing songs at all hours and listening in on our conversations outside our rooms and we were told "you should not expect your shower to work, we are at the highest point in Auburn." Needless to say, we were bitter, and needed an escape...Then Crazy Backwards Day entered our lives.

One night, after a very long and rainy fall day, Shiney and I were discussing our sleep deprivation and the need to promptly alleviate the issue. We had an idea! Sleep backwards (our heads at the foot board and our feet at the head board). IT WORKED!!! This is when we discovered the magic of being backwards. It is a proven statistic that every hour slept backwards is greater than or equal to 1.5 hours slept normally. We cheated the clock! We immediately instituted Crazy Backwards Days weekly.

It is now 7 years later (yes 7, scary, don't want to think about it). Crazy Backwards Day has never let us down.
